A flat round disc paved with kundan stones and edged in tiny seed pearls, dropping into a kundan-set jhumki dome with a pearl fringe. The pearl border on the top disc is the detail that lifts these above the usual kundan jhumka — it softens the whole earring and keeps the gold from looking flat. At 35 grams the pair has weight without pulling on the earlobe. Wear with a saree or an anarkali.

How long will delivery take?

Every order is dispatched within 2–4 business days. After that the courier takes 2–4 days within Mumbai, 3–5 days across Maharashtra and 5–8 days to the rest of India. Delivery is free anywhere in India, and the delivery checker on this page gives the date for your PIN code.

What is the return policy?

Because jewellery is worn against the skin, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind - every piece is inspected and sealed before dispatch, so nothing you receive has been worn by anyone else. If it arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, message us within 3 days of delivery: with a continuous, unedited unboxing video for transit damage, or clear photos for a manufacturing defect, and we will repair or replace it free. If a repair or replacement is not possible, the refund goes back to your original payment method within 7–10 business days. You can cancel any order before it is dispatched.

Is this real gold?

No, and we would rather say so plainly. This is imitation jewellery - a Zamak zinc-alloy body, precision-cast and high gold-plated, with the stones hand-set. Made to look like the real thing at a fraction of the price. It carries no hallmark and is not sold as precious metal.

Will the colour come off?

Not with reasonable care. The finish lasts longest if you put the earring on last - after perfume, hairspray and moisturiser - take it off before bathing, swimming or sleeping, and keep it in a dry pouch away from other metal.

Is cash on delivery available?

On most pin codes, yes. The checkout checks your pin code against the courier network and tells you before you pay, so you will know either way before you commit to the order. Cash on Delivery carries a handling fee, shown at checkout before you confirm; paying online has no extra charge.

The jhumka

The jhumka, or jhumki, is the bell-shaped earring India wears from Punjab to Tamil Nadu. The bell sways as you walk, which is exactly why it has lasted: it is jewellery that moves with you.

What to wear it with

A saree or an anarkali, with the hair in a braid or a low bun. The seed-pearl border softens the whole earring, so these sit as well with pastels as with deep silks.

When it works best

Weddings, festivals and family functions. At 35 grams the pair has weight without pulling on the earlobe.
